Photo A Day: Tomatoes

 

Tomatoes???  I decided that I would like to work on my mad photo skills.  The only way to create beautiful photos is to keep practicing and practicing.  I spent the day shooting jewelry, which is so intricate and at times maddening.  At the end of the shoot, I needed to photograph something with pop - hence the tomatoes!  Which led me to thinking about joining the photo a day movement.  Perhaps, there's something to it!  Sharpen my skills and have a bit of fun while shooting something other than gems.  So I'm hoping (fingers crossed here) that I can keep at it. 

The Art of Cookbook Covers

If you are a foodie, or even if you aren't - what kind of cover pulls you in?  I love clean spare covers with great photography.  I find the simpler the cover the more I am drawn to it.  Usually great covers reveal a treasure of a cookbook in terms of recipes and fantastic product shots. 

Red Velvet Cake

Okay, so this is what happens when I want to lay off the sweets - I start obsessing about them.  I had a craving for cake today and found these red velvet cake balls on Etsy.   What's not to love - red velvet cake tucked into a tiffany blue shell of icing.  Oh yum!  Check out other goodies in Audrey Kate Rae's shop.
